NFR Apprentice Recruitment 2026: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has published a consolidated advertisement for applying online for the recruitment of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Educational Qualification

| All Trades (Except Medical Laboratory Technician) | Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board and possess an NCVT/SCVT ITI Certificate in the relevant trade. The 50% minimum in Class 10 is not applicable to SC/ST/PwBD candidates. |
| Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology & Radiology) | Candidates must have passed Class 10 and Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, securing at least 50% marks in both Class 10 and Class 12. |

Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be carried out through the following stages:
- Preparation of a merit list based on academic performance.
- Merit will be calculated using the average of:
- Class 10 marks and ITI marks (for most trades), or
- Class 10 and Class 12 (PCB) marks for Medical Laboratory Technician trades.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.
- Final selection will be subject to successful verification of original documents and submission of the required medical certificate.
