Candidates working in the Central Government, State Government, PSUs, Railways, Metro Rail companies or other government bodies must also satisfy NMRC’s present pay-scale requirements.

Important Eligibility Conditions
- The minimum post-qualification experience must be from the Government sector.
- Experience in private-sector organisations will not be counted towards the minimum post-qualification experience.
- Experience as a Management Trainee, Graduate Engineer Trainee or Apprentice will not be counted towards the required overall post-qualification experience.
- Merely meeting the minimum qualification and experience does not guarantee a call for the selection process.
- If applications are received in large numbers, NMRC may shortlist candidates using higher qualifications and experience than the prescribed minimum.
- Candidates claiming equivalence of qualifications must produce an equivalence certificate.
- For Management qualifications with dual specialisation, one specialisation must be function-specific to the advertised post.
- Candidates presently working in the private sector or on a contract basis at consolidated pay in the Government sector are not eligible.
