Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojana: The Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojana is a social welfare scheme launched by the government of Haryana that aims to provide financial assistance to girls from poor/destitute and girls from SC/ST families that are incurred during the wedding.
The scheme is designed to remove barriers in the marriage process by providing a monetary grant in the name of Kanydan. Under this scheme, beneficiaries receive a total amount of Rs. 71,000/-, with Rs. 66,000/- disbursed as Shagun at the time of marriage and an additional Rs. 5000/- at the time of marriage registration.

This scheme has allocated different amounts to be paid out to people in different financial and social situations based on their estimated needs. All beneficiaries need to register their marriage to access the full disbursement amount. An applicant can also apply during the period of 3 months from the date of the marriage ceremony. The beneficiary will mention the circumstances/reasons due to which he/she was not able to submit applications on or before the date of the marriage ceremony. No application will be accepted after 3 months of marriage. This government scheme aims to provide financial support for couples where one or both are disabled and special provisions are made.
Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojana: Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must comply with and fulfil certain criteria to qualify for this government scheme.
Applicants must be citizens of Haryana. Daughter of a widow, divorced, or destitute woman. Daughter of a sportswoman (any caste). The beneficiary girl getting married must be 18 years or older. Member of SC, DT, or Tapriwas communities. The family’s annual income of the girl beneficiary must not exceed 1.8 lakhs. Only a maximum of two daughters of a family can get the benefit of this scheme. This Assistance is provided only on the occasion of the first marriage.
Who Cannot Apply?
Families with an annual income of more than Rs. 1 lakh (unless in the special category). Those who have already availed this benefit for their 2 daughters. Applicants submitted after 6 months of marriage.
Application Process
To apply for this scheme, applicants must follow these steps.
Visit the official portal – shaadi.haryana.gov.in to access the online application portal. If you are a new user, click on the ” Register ” option, fill out the required details and then submit. Now, log in to the portal using your newly assigned username and password. Click on the link to register for Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojana. Complete the online application form by providing all the required information. Upload all required documents carefully. Then, click on the Submit option. The application must be submitted within 6 months after the marriage registration.

i) Aadhaar Card. ii) Domicile Certificate. iii) Income Certificate. iv) Marriage Card. v) BPL Ration Card. vi) Divorce Certificate. vii) Bank Passbook Details. viii) Birth Certificate of Bride and Groom. ix) Caste Certificate. x) Passport-sized photograph.

Scheme Terms and Conditions
The amount disbursed to the applicant is determined by the category they fall under. The application must be submitted 6 months before the wedding. Application will be accepted only up to 3 months after the wedding date, but then additional approvals are required. The marriage must be registered before the amount is disbursed to the applicant.
